Anyone Know What This Is?
Please take a look at the object pictured adjacent to this box. It was inside a bottle of Casarsa Wine that I purchased in January, causing me to gag and resulting in a cut inside my mouth. A rep from the company has been responsive to my inquiries, even quickly sending a check to reimburse me for the cost of the wine. But to my surprise, she said she has no idea what the object is. Below is her verbatim response.

Our Quality Assurance Department has examined your photo and nobody at TWG [The Wine Group] or any of its suppliers recognizes the object as part of anything used in our business. If I receive further information, I will inform you.
Contact Me
Please send me an e-mail if you recognize the object and can explain what it is and how it's used in the manufacturing process. I'd like very much to inform the company as to what the object is so they can ensure no one else is similarly hurt. Additionally, I'd like to caution as many people as possible through this website to check every bottle of Casarsa Wine before purchasing it to make sure the bottle is safe.
